Complaint Alleges $7M Worth of Loans and Information Diverted by Alleged Mortgage Lender Conspiracy

AmNet ESOP Corporation v. CrossCountry Mortgage, Inc. et al, Civil Action No. 2:23-cv-00010-RWS (N.D. Ga., Jan. 10, 2023)

Mortgage lender AmNet brings suit against fellow mortgage lender and former employee for alleged misappropriation of information and other business torts in the Northern District.

The Plaintiff asserts Defendant CrossCountry solicited the help of an AmNet employee in order to divert loans and referral information. In total, AmNet claims the conspiracy diverted at least 15 loans worth approximately $7 million. In the suit, the Plaintiff leverages the Lanham Act and the Defend Trade Secrets Act, in concert with various business torts and other claims, to enjoin the Defendants and disgorge the profits.

The case has been assigned to Judge Richard W. Story.
