Location Tracking System Patents Inspire Lawsuit Against Atlanta-based Fleet-management Company

PerDiemCo LLC v. NexTraq LLC, Civil Action No. 1:23-cv-00193-MHC (N.D. Ga., Jan. 13, 2023)

A patentee has brought suit against an Atlanta-based fleet-management company in the Northern District of Georgia. In the Complaint, PerDiemCo LLC alleges NexTraq LLC infringes seven patents related to location tracking systems.  According to the Complaint, the claimed inventions provide a reliable and efficient way for users to track objects and convey the information to certain recipients.

The patents-in-suit are United States Patent Nos. 9,680,941; 9,871,874; 10,021,198; 10,397,789; 10,602,364; 10,819,809; and 11,064,038.

For each of the seven patents, the Plaintiff accuses the Defendant of indirect, induced, and willful infringement, and demands a jury trial.

The case has been assigned to Judge Mark Howard Cohen.
