Dietary Supplement Companies Square Off Over Competing Products, Alleged Patent Infringement

Karmagreen, LLC v. United Wholesale Distributor Inc., Civil Action No. 1:22-cv-04023-MHC (N.D. Ga., Oct. 6, 2022)

In a lawsuit recently filed in the Northern District of Georgia, Dietary supplements manufacturer Karmagreen claims that Tucker, Ga.-based United Wholesale Distributor is violating Karmagreen’s patents for a particular supplement.

Karmagreen claims in the lawsuit that United Wholesale’s Pegasus, TD Mega, TD Plus, and TD Red products infringe on the company’s patented process used in Karmagreen’s Tianaa product line. These products purport to help with stress relief and rest, and use ingredients such as tianeptine, kava and sakae naa. Karmagreen alleges that the defendant’s products are intended to replicate the Tianaa branded supplements using the same ingredients and processes, thus infringing on Karmagreen’s patents.
